Fiscal Health Study

In December, 1995, Budget Services completed a Fiscal Health Study of Lee County, Florida. Utilizing guidelines set forth by the International City Management Association, the report examines a set of specific indicators in the areas of revenues, expenditures and fixed costs, operating position and Enterprise Fund groups. Each section has conclusions and policy implications from the material gathered.

In addition, the study has a separate section on Community Resources - a profile of the County's population and economic structure with information on such categories as population age groups, taxable sales, taxable values, personal earnings, unemployment etc.

The report contains over 60 charts on a variety of subjects with nine of the more complicated graphs in color.

An Executive Summary draws overall conclusions from each of the sections. There is also a "Quick Check" on Fiscal Health in which several of the key indicators are defined followed by the County's characteristics relative to those indicators.

The report provides valuable information for current residents and persons considering relocation to Lee County.

The report is available for $15.00 from the Budget Services Operations.
