Vision
Vision Service Plan
With this plan, members are eligible to receive coverage for routine eye exams and lenses every 12 months and frames every 24 months through the Vision Service Plan network of participating providers. The co-payment for an eye exam is $10. The co-payment for lenses or frames is $25, with only one $25 co-payment when lenses and frames are purchased together. This coverage, if elected, is paid for entirely by the employee.
Aetna VisionSM Discounts
Aetna Vision Discounts helps you save on eyeglasses, sunglasses, contact lenses and solutions, LASIK, and more. Best of all, it's automatically included with your Aetna health benefits plan and health insurance plan, so you don't pay any extra to get the program.
We've contracted with EyeMed Vision Care to bring you a broad network of eye care providers including Pearle Vision®, Lenscrafters®, JCPenney Optical®, Target Optical® and participating Sears Optical® locations. In addition, there are thousands of independent eye care providers available. Most participating locations have doctors of optometry practicing right on the premises or at a nearby location. Aetna VisionSM Discounts offers you great rates on eye exams for eyeglasses or contact lenses. Remember, you also get one comprehensive eye exam per year through our medical plan.
Aetna Vision Discounts is a great way to supplement your insurance coverage. Covered eye exams and materials are available at most participating locations. But remember - check your plan requirements first.
