Employee Benefits Have you called Aetna about a claim and still need some assistance? Do you need to change your beneficiaries? Thinking of retirement? Need help completing claim forms?
If you said yes to any of these questions contact a member of our benefits team for assistance. Jennifer Laufenberg can assist you with retirement, short- or long-term disability questions, life insurance claims, beneficiary designations and Aetna claim questions. You should also contact Jennifer regarding mid-year changes in your family status due to a qualifying event that may require or allow a change in your health insurance coverage, such as adding or deleting dependents.
Do you have questions regarding FMLA? All FMLA inquiries should go to Kathy Dorsey.
Employee Health Services The Employee Health Services Section provides post-offer, pre-employment health assessments for prospective employees, assists the Risk Management section regarding workers' compensation for Board of County Commissioners employees, coordinates health fairs and provides information on health and wellness. The Employee Health Services office hours are, weekdays, from 7:30am - 4:30pm.

Employee Wellness Services The mission of EWS is to provide employees with opportunities, services, and education that will enhance and promote overall well-being. Some of the services EWS can offer include educational programs, incentive programs, newsletters, and health fairs. A variety of health and wellness topics can be addressed including: heart health, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, nutrition, and physical activity , stress management, smoking cessation, and weight management. EWS is always open to suggestions for topics, programs and services that would be most beneficial to you. Contact Heather for information and/or any suggestions you may have.

Staffing, Compensation Staffing Services provides assistance to individuals who are seeking employment with Lee County Board of County Commissioners as well as providing recruiting services to our departments.
