FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 7, 2000) – People looking for jobs with Lee County Government can now apply online using the Internet.
Lee County’s Human Resources web page can be found at www.lee-county.com/HumanResources/index.html. To view or complete an online application, go to www.lee-county.com/HumanResources/online.htm.
Lee County hires about 600 people annually in full-time, part-time and temporary positions and the Human Resources Department processes more than 10,000 applications each year.
“Adding online applications will help us speed processing, hire more quickly and, hopefully, broaden the field of qualified applicants from which to choose,” says Joanie Glance, Human Resources Director.
The site also includes the county’s weekly jobs postings list, updated every Monday. The postings include job description highlights, applicant requirements and pay ranges.
The Board of Lee County Commissioners (BOCC) employs about 1,700 people in 25 department and divisions, including Transportation, Parks & Recreation, Libraries, Public Safety, Human Services, Utilities, Solid Waste, Natural Resources, Community Development, Animal Services, Transit, Economic Development, and Visitor & Convention Bureau.
