FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lee County Government Offices under the Board of Lee County Commissioners will be closed Monday, May 31 in recognition of Memorial Day.

All unincorporated areas of Lee County as well as Bonita Springs and the Town of Fort Myers Beach will have their garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection day delayed for one day the entire week starting May 31st due to the Memorial Day holiday.

If your normal garbage pick up day is on Monday, it will be Tuesday; if it is normally on Tuesday, then it will be Wednesday, Wednesday's pick up will be on Thursday, Thursday on Friday, and Friday on Saturday.

This schedule is only in effect from May 31st to June 5th, 2004. Regular scheduled collections will resume on June 6th, 2004.
