Taking no chance on the weather - Household Chemical Waste Collection Drop Off Day for September 25th, 2004 Is cancelled

FORT MYERS, Fla. (September 11, 2004) - Please be advised that the Household Chemical Waste and Electronics Collection Day for September 25th, 2004 at Page Field has been cancelled. The uncertainty of hurricane Ivan's approach and its possible adverse impact on Lee County have prompted the Solid Waste Division to cancel this popular event.

All of the Solid Waste Division resources will need to remain directed at cleanup efforts.

The next scheduled Household Chemical Waste and Electronics Collection Day is November 6th, 2004 at the Greyhound Track in Bonita Springs.

The Solid Waste Division thanks the residents of Lee County for their support and understanding during this critical situation.
