COUNTY SEEKING MORE APPLICANTS FOR "CHOOSE LIFE" FUNDS

FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 1, 2004) - Funds from the sale of the "Choose Life" license plates are available and the allocation to Lee County is not being as highly utilized as it could be.

Every "Choose Life" license plate sold raises $20 to help women committed to making an adoption plan for their child. Assistance is available for such things as medical bills, housing, transportation, food, and clothing during pregnancy.

Agencies in Lee County assisting pregnant women who are willing to make an adoption plan are encouraged to contact the lead agency to apply for assistance:

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc.
1000 Pinebrook Road, Venice, Fl. 34285
941-484-9543

Individuals who are not currently working with an agency can contact Project Gabriel at 239-939-3016.
