"Senior Softball World
Championships to Return to Lee County"
11/8/04 - Fort Myers, Fl. - The Senior Softball World
Championships (SSWC) Winter Nationals will return to Fort Myers, November
12-14, for it's third year. This year's event will draw 84 teams between the
ages of 50 and 70 years old from across the country.
Based out of Sacramento California, the SSWC is one of the nation's top senior
softball programs.
"Lee County in November is an attractive tournament destination, especially
for this demographic. In just one year, the number of teams has nearly
doubled" said SSWC President Terry Hennessy.
Games will be played at the City of Cape Coral's Northwest Softball Complex
and BMX Park, the Lee County Sports Complex, Shady Oaks Park and Veterans Park
in Lehigh Acres. Games will be played all day beginning at 8:00 AM thru the
late evening.
