CONCERT IN THE PARK THIS Saturday AT THREE OAKS

FORT MYERS, FL. (November 15, 2004) - Lee County Parks & Recreation will be offering a free outdoor concert at Three Oaks Community Park on November 20th (Saturday) with The Mixx playing all your classic rock favorites.

The concert is scheduled to run from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

The concert is free, with soda, beer and food vendors on site. Coolers are not allowed into the event.

Past concerts have typically drawn between 2,000 and 3,000 people. Sponsors this year include San Carlos Park Sunshine Ace Hardware, radio station B103.9, J.J. Taylor Distributing, Bill Vernay Movers and the San Carlos Park Optimist Club.

Three Oaks Community Park is located at 18251 Three Oaks Parkway just south of Alico Road in the Three Oaks/San Carlos Park community. The park has baseball fields, soccer fields, bike/jogging trails, picnic tables, shelters and grills, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts and racquetball courts.

Lee County's Parks & Recreation Department maintains and operates 3,500 acres of developed park land, 14 centers, 10 pools, five boat ramps, three Gulf beach parks, one lakefront beach, 76 beach accesses, 60 tennis courts, 73 ballfields, and 13 preserves.
