LEE COUNTY UTILITIES CANCELS CHANGE OF DISINFECTION DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES
FORT MYERS, Fla. (November 15, 2004) - On November 15, 2004, Lee County Utilities (LCU) was to start receiving water from the City of Ft. Myers. Due to a malfunction with the meter the interconnect will not be opened. LCU customers will be receiving water as normal.
The replacement of the meter may take approximately one to two weeks. Once the repairs have been made, LCU will notify the public of when the interconnect will be opened.
Approximately 4,200 metered residences and business were to be affected by this disinfection process change.
AREA AFFECTED:
All of Lee County customers from Veronica Shoemaker Blvd. east to the FP&L Power Plant on State Road 80 (Palm Beach Blvd.), north to the Caloosahatchee River and south to Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd.
