Sanibel Causeway Project Team Makes Christmas Brighter for
Local Kids
Fort Myers, FL (December 2, 2004) - The contractors for the Sanibel Causeway
Improvements project have been hard at work with the first stages of
construction for the project. However, this has not prevented them from
planning a surprise for some of the local children in the area. Jacobs
Engineering and Boh Brothers are always looking for ways to give something
to the communities that they are involved with during their projects.
They learned that there are many children in Lee County who would be missing
out on Christmas this year. Working with the Lee County Human Services
Department, Jacobs and Boh Brothers were given a list of 20 children who are
less fortunate this holiday season. Donations of presents, including
bicycles and toys, were collected from employees for each child on the list.
Due to the generosity of the staff and sub consultants working for Jacobs
and Boh Brothers, the collection resulted in piles of gifts being donated
for each child. In addition, donations by the many companies working on the
project raised over $2000 to help make Christmas a little better for many
other children in need in Lee County. Jacobs Engineering and Boh Brothers
will be presenting their gifts and a check for the money collected to Silvia
Hasak of Lee County Human Services at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 6, 2004
at Jacobs Engineering office at 17500 Harbour Pointe Drive next to the
Sanibel toll plaza.
