The
Lee County Department of Community Development maintains a permit center
within its central offices in downtown Fort Myers, where personal
over-the-counter information and assistance with a wide range of land use,
development, building, and zoning permits is available. For major
development projects, the Department has a development review process which
can be used at an early stage to identify, consolidate, and coordinate the
necessary permits and meet the requirements which may apply to the project.
