The Lee County Office of Equal Opportunity (LCOEO) investigates employment and housing discrimination complaints at the county level. We are the local equivalent to the Florida Commission on Human Relations and the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Through outreach and education, the LCOEO aims to promote equal opportunity in employment and housing.

Our office:

		Investigates housing complaints on behalf of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
		Investigates employment complaints on behalf of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
		Strives to stop discrimination before it starts by increasing awareness in the community about discrimination laws and
		Inform consumers and businesses of the steps needed to comply with the discrimination laws
		Hosts training conferences and conduct individual workshops For organizations
