What can Lee County do?

What can Lee County do to help me?
Officials can let you know the flood history and risk for your home. In addition, the county's library system has reference materials (including maps) available for your review.

They will work with you on flood prevention and retrofitting, putting you together with qualified contractors and information to make your house or building safer in a flood.

They will warn you if a flood is imminent, where and when it could strike, and how severe they expect it to be.

They'll help coordinate efforts to minimize flood damage, working with relief agencies and county staffers to help residents prepare their building from encroaching waters.

And, of course, they'll be there after the waters have receded to help you put your home and your life back together.
