The mission of the surface water resources program is to protect, conserve, and manage surface waters of the County. The mission is aimed at achieving the following goals:

• Conservation, restoration, and preservation of flowway systems.

• Flood damage prevention and protection.

• Water quality improvement and  preservation.

• Infrastructure improvement and management.
