 Paper Shredding Program

The Lee County Solid Waste Division offers the service of confidential document shredding to businesses and residents. The paper shredding program is staffed by HIPAA-trained personnel and carried out with secure transfer and processing.

Commercial customers with large quantities are asked to bring the documents to the Solid Waste Division's Recycling Facility at 10550 Buckingham Road. 

Making disposal simple for the customer, Lee County can process two tons of paper per hour.

Staples, binder clips and metal clips may be left on the documents. After the paper is shredded, it is bundled for reuse in the paper recycling industry. Please call the Solid Waste Division at (239) 533-8000 for pricing or additional information.
