Inspections

 

Plumbing InspectionLee County Building Inspections provides trade inspections for Unincorporated Lee County and the Town of Fort Myers Beach on new construction for single family, duplex, multi-family dwellings, commercial and industrial buildings as well as remodel projects and additions.  The office is located on the third floor of the County/City Annex Building at 1825 Hendry Street in downtown Fort Myers.  The mailing address is P.O. Box 398, Fort Myers, Florida 33902-0398. 

 

Structural Inspectors: Performs all inspections of a structural nature, including aluminum enclosures and swimming pool structural components.

Plumbing Inspectors: Performs inspections on all phases of plumbing work including new residential and commercial construction, remodeling and repairs, as well as liquid propane (LP) and natural gas applications.

Electrical Inspectors: Performs inspections of all permitted work to insure compliance with the National Electrical Code, approved plans and any other applicable codes, including all pool code requirements.

HVAC (Mechanical) Inspectors: Performs inspections on installation of Air Conditioning and Heating systems forElectrical Inspection residential and commercial projects, in addition to exhaust systems including bath, dryer and range venting and commercial hoods as well as commercial refrigeration.

Roofing Inspectors: Performs roofing inspections on new construction, re-roofing on existing structures, as well as interpreting code and implementing new code as necessary.

Drainage Inspectors: Performs inspections for compliance with Lee County Drainage Ordinance on residential building sites and investigates drainage complaints at single family residences.
