North Fort Myers Town Hall Meeting

The North Fort Myers Community Planning Panel will hold their annual “Town Hall” meeting Tuesday, April 2, at 6 p.m. in Community of Christ Church, 368 Herron Road, North Fort Myers.

Presentations include:

  • Kathie Ebaugh, Principal Planner, Lee County Planning Division, will discuss issues specific to North Fort Myers in the proposed update to the Future Land Use Element of the Lee Plan.
  • Tony Palermo, Senior Planner, Lee County Zoning Division, will discuss the plans and codes proposed to implement a North Fort Myers Town Center north of the Caloosahatchee River between US 41 and Old 41, south of Pondella Road.
  • Andy Getch, Planning Manager, Lee County Department of Transportation, will be on hand to discuss the draft Transportation Element of the Lee Plan and transportation projects coming to North Fort Myers.
  • Thom Osterhout, Senior Manager, Lee County Utilities, and Mike Pavese, Principal Planner, Lee County Public Works Department, will discuss future plans for Lee County Utilities in North Fort Myers.
  • Linda Yorde of the Friends of the North Fort Myers Public Library will discuss issues regarding the current North Fort Myers Library a larger regional library.
  • James W. Herston, a local engineer representing a property owner south of the Shell Factory, will discuss a proposed assisted living facility at the site. Other development proposals may also be scheduled.

The event is free. No RSVP is required. All are welcome to attend, ask questions, and participate. Refreshments will be served.
