Care Inspections
The Child Care Health Consultant is responsible for the
medical inspection of approximately 120 commercial childcare facilities, and
reviews medical records for approximately 18 religious exempt childcare
facilities bi-annually. The nurse is also available for consultation
regarding medical questions. She works closely with Disease Control,
Immunizations, Environmental Health and the Cross Program Licensing Unit, so
that minimum standards may be maintained or exceeded. This nurse
covers Lee County only.
