Management Systems is the technical support arm of the Lee County Health Department. We implement, support and manage the following State of Florida computer applications:

Additionally, we support and provide classroom training opportunities for the Microsoft Office products Excel and Word.

While much of the information in a Public Health Department is public record, individual client records are not and are treated as confidential information. Using every reasonable technological meaure, our job is to ensure that data is secure and that only appropriate staff members have access.

Clinic Management System
This system has been developed by the State of Florida exclusively for use in our clinics. Its primary function is to record our interaction with clients and at the same time provide the utmost in confidentially.

The Clinic Management System is broken up into modules. Each module is geared towards a specific area of the Health Department. These modules are:

Lab Module - for submitting testing to the State of Florida Laboratories

Tuberculoses Module - for tracking the care given to Tuberculosis clients

Immunizations Module - for recording and determining Immunization schedules for infants and children and adults.

Scheduling Module - for preparing client appointments and scheduling staff and clinic hours

Intake/Interview Module - for determining how much clients must pay for services based on a sliding fee scale determined by the State of Florida.

Billing Module - for appropriate billing of Medicaid or other insurance companies or the client themselves.

Case Management Module - for the scheduled care of clients both inside the Health Department client roster as well as outside clients.

CIS/HMC Module - for reporting to the State of Florida (required by State Statute) the number of clients that we provide services for as well as linking these services to staff members for cost and time analysis.

This is not an exhaustive list of the functionality of our system but an overview of the main components.
