Reception to Honor National Contest Winners From Cape Coral

FORT MYERS, Fla., The Lee County Library System is hosting a reception for the winners of the "Join the Major Leagues @ Your Library" contest  Monday, November 8 at 1 p.m. at the Cape Coral - Lee County Public Library, 921 SW
39th Terrace.

This national contest was sponsored by the American Library Association and Major League Baseball with more than 1,000 libraries participating. Both the Grand Prize Winner and a First Prize Winner came from the Cape Coral - Lee County Public Library.

 

James Dinkins won a trip for two to the third game in the World Series. Drew Leitman won a prize pack from Major League Baseball. These winners will also be presented with additional prizes at the reception. 

 

Local officials and representatives of baseball teams including Linda McNabb, President of the Fort Myers Miracle, and Miss-A-Miracle, the Miracle's mascot, will also be on hand at the reception and will be recognized for their role in promoting this contest.
