For Immediate Release
The Public PC
Solution
Less Time Waiting, More Time for the Beach
Starting Monday, July 19, patrons at the East County Regional Library will
spend less time waiting for library computers- thanks to a new computer
reservation system.
The Public PC Solution enables library patrons to:
- schedule their own public PC appointments, up to one week in advance
- preview print jobs, including how many pages the printing will be and what
the cost will be
- prepay for printing with an account (up to $20)
- pay by personal check or cash/coins
Drop in at the East County Regional Library for a media reception anytime 10
a.m. - 2 p.m. for a demonstration, question and answers, and refreshments.
Brochures about the system will be available at the reception as well as
online at The
Public PC Solution Brochure (pdf)
Patrons who try the new system will receive a free mini beach ball (while
supplies last.)
The Public PC Solution system helps the Lee County Library System reduce
printing costs, wasted paper, and wasted printing cartridges. Printing costs
will be ten cents per black and white page and one dollar per color page.
There is no charge for printing from the Library's catalog.
