"Popular characters and stories make it easier for parents to get their children excited about reading," says Lee County Library System Community Relations Coordinator, Heather O'Connell "so if they loved a movie, encourage them to read the book. Once they've enjoyed a good story, ask your library staff to recommend other books to keep your child interested in reading."

If you're unsure about whether a film is right for you and your family, you may want to check out a copy of the book from the library or go online at the library's Internet stations to find out more. Don't forget your Lee County Library System also has popular movies on video and DVD for you and your family to enjoy.
