The Fort Myers-Lee County Public Library is the main library for Lee County. It houses the system's primary collection of legal, business and financial information. The library has a meeting room, Internet Access computers, a full youth services program, and the system's main genealogy collection. The largest archive of periodical information is available here, as well as a full run of the Fort Myers News-Press News-Press and the New York Times.

The library offers free programs for adults, teens and children, including storytime. Special volunteer opportunities including: assembling genealogical or library programs, reviewing audio and video materials in mending, assisting patrons with genealogy searches, (Internet, microfilm and Dynix), and typing spine labels.
