SHEILA HEBERT COLLINS  Is The Author Of several Cajun fairy tales and stories including: Jolie Blonde: A Cajun Twist to an Old Tale (Goldilocks); Petite Rouge: A Cajun Twist To An Old Tale (Little Red Riding Hood); Les Trois Chochons, The Three Little Pigs: A Cajun Twist To An Old Tale; Jean Paul Hebert Was There (A Coloring Book and Story of the Cajun Exile, in French and English); Jolie Blonde: A Cajun Twist to an Old Tale (Goldilocks) (A Coloring Book in French and English)

DAVID ESSEL is the author of Phoenix Soul: One Man's Search for Love & Inner Peace, now in its third printing. He has also completed and recently released the first in a series of children's inspirational books, The Real Life Adventures of Catherine "Cat" Calloway, The First. His next book, part of a series through Hay House Publishing entitled, Slow Down: The Fastest Way to Get Everything You Want, is scheduled for release in February 2003. David received a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences/Health Education from Syracuse University and holds a Master's Degree in Fitness Management. He has appeared on the covers of Men's Fitness and American Fitness magazines as well as in television health segments. He hosts his own radio show and fitness videos. ADRIAN FOGELIN is a frequent guest at schools, conferences, and workshops across the country.  Crossing Jordan and Anna Casey's Place in the World have found their way into classrooms, libraries, university study programs, and of course, individual households. USA Today called Adrian Fogelin's first book, Crossing Jordan, a "sensitive portrait of black-white relations in a changing neighborhood." The American Library Association named the novel to its Best Books for Young Adults list. Crossing Jordan also has been nominated for a Georgia Children's Book Award as well as other awards.  Adrian Fogelin was moved to write this story of prejudice and friendship after an incident in her neighborhood. A librarian and a fiction reader for the International Quarterly, Adrian lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with her family. DONNA GUTHRIE is an educator from Colorado Springs, Colorado and author of a young adult authors’ do-it-yourself book on writing and illustrating. For more information, visit http://www.donnaguthrie.com.

MAUDE HEURTELOU is the author of several novels in Haitian Creole, that reflect the issues and traditions close to many immigrant families from Haiti. In Lafami Bonplezi, an extended Haitian family migrates to the USA and faces new challenges. Sezisman is a novel on Haitian mores in which traditions are presented with art and skills.

SUSAN ROWAN MASTERS is the author of four novels for young readers, Night Journey to Vicksburg, The Secret Life of Hubie Hartzel, Libby Bloom, and Summer Song. Libby Bloom was nominated for the Rhode Island Book Award and was chosen for inclusion on the Sequoyah Award Masterlist. She has published many short stories and articles in a variety of publications. Masters is a national winner of the Writer's Digest Magazine writing competition and a recipient of an Artist Fellowship sponsored by the Fund for the Arts in Chautauqua County. She is on the visiting roster of faculty at the Writers' Center (Chautauqua Institution) where, over the past several years, she has led the Young Writers' Workshops. CHRIS RASCHKA lives and works in New York City with his wife and son. Both a writer and illustrator, Mr. Raschka's books include Charlie Parker Played Be Bop, The Blushful Hippopotamus, Arlene Sardine, and many others.  He has also illustrated several books and has twice won a New York Times Best Illustrated Book of the Year Award for Mysterious Thelonious and A Poke in the I. His book, Yo!
