The Southwest Florida Reading Festival is offering sanctioned status to non-profit organizations that wish to plan and implement a reading/literacy/author event.

The Southwest Florida Reading Festival has developed an excellent reputation among authors, publishers, library organizations, schools, and other organizations in Southwest Florida and around the country.

Sanctioned events benefit from:
  • Use of the Southwest Florida Reading Festival
    name and logo

  • Publicity for your event included with
    • Festival flyers
    • Festival web pages
    • Festival guide:
      insert to The News-Press, distributed in libraries and at the Reading Festival main event
Sanctioned events will be approved based on compliance with the following:
  • The proposed event or activity supports the festival’s missions of:
    • Bringing awareness of the library programs and resources to the community, and/or
    • Promoting reading and literacy

  • The proposed event or activity is scheduled to take place during the week prior to or following the main Reading Festival event, and will not conflict with other festival events or activities planned by Lee County Library System or its non-profit support groups.

to promote reading and library services!
