Under the chapter 62-710 of the Florida Administrative Code (FAC), it is required that all used oil containers be double walled or have secondary containment and if stored outdoors they must be covered and protected from the weather. This calculator will help you determine the volume and dimensions required for your secondary containment.

Secondary containment whether purchased or constructed must be impervious to oil.  If your secondary containment is constructed from a porous material (ex. Concrete Block), the inside surface of the containment must be sealed and impervious to oil.
