Powell Creek Filter Marsh Feasibility Study 

Project Objective:  This project began as in investigation into possible filter marsh design & effectiveness for a marsh along the Powell Creek Bypass near the Caloosahatchee River.  It was determined in the original report that without diverting more water down the Powell Creek Bypass a filter marsh in this location would only have limited potential to improve water quality in Powell Creek.  The report has been expanded to include identifying additional parcels within the Powell Creek Watershed that could be more effective at improving water quality within Powell Creek.

Project status: Draft report under review by staff.
