The Well Construction Advisory Board Meeting 

The next Well Construction Advisory Board Meeting has been re-scheduled for June 18th, 2008 at 9:00 AM at 1st floor conference room in Public Works building, 1500 Monroe Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33901. The public is invited to attend and participate.

The ground Water unit

The Ground Water Unit has several responsibilities in protecting the County's groundwater resources. Major tasks of this Unit are enforcing the County well code and well field protection ordinance, issuance of well construction permits, and inspection of well construction for compliance with the code requirements.

The Unit provides advice and also responds to the public well contractors,consultants, County staff, and other agencies on issues related to hydrogeology of the region. The Unit acts as liaison between the County and the Well Construction Advisory Board.
