Configuration Instructions for Page Permissions are found under the Dreamweaver menu: Revize > Help > Revize Permissions

Notations in Red indicate issues that may prevent Revize Page Permissions from functioning as expected.

Below are explainations of notations found on this page.

Link Parent: *unknown*   In the yellow heading, indicates the linkparent field in the link manager module does not define a parent.  This may cause new links from being associated with the wrong parent.  When new links are added via the link manager, they are assigned to the same parent as other links displayed in the list.  If no links are displayed or no parent is defined for displayed links, the current page is assumed to be the parent..
icon link   These icons appear on published pages when the page permissions warnings option is selected. change options
icon link   In the top left corner of this or any other page, indicates potential issues using page permissions usually because the page's parent is not known.  It is not usually meaningful on this page other than to serve as an example.  Clicking on the icons displays an explaination.
icon link   Next to a link, indicates the parent for this page is not defined in the webspace_page_permissions module.  Page permissions must be explicitly defined for each page (i.e. they are not inherited).
*no display text*    Under the Link Display column, indicates there is no text to display for link.
*unknown*    Under the parent_key heading, indicates there is no parent defined for this page and therefore page permissions must be explicitly defined.
Template NA   In the template column, indicates the linkpage field in the link manager module does not specifiy a template.
linktype NA   In the template column, indicates the type of link is unknown because the linktype field in the link manager module is blank.
Cross References NA   No cross references to this page found.  This is probably an orphan page (click on orphan link to delete).
Module or recordid NA   In cross references column, indicates either the module or recordid is invalid or does not exist.
orphan   In active column, indicates there to no appear to be any references to this page.  Click on orphan to delete this record.
*   Under the Roles or Users column, indicates the permissions shown are inherited from the parent page.

Notes regarding this template Created: 05-05-2004 06:43 pm

This template was created using the Dreamweaver Revize menu: Create/Edit webSpace (with the webspace_links checkbox checked under the Advanced tab).

When this template was created, the following modules were assumed to be link manager modules (because they contained the fields linkdisplay, linkpage and linktype):

about_us_links, browse_as_dropdown_links, browse_as_tabs, browseas_dropdown_items, department_forms, department_left_nav, download_forms, government, government_list_item, home_left_nav, job, links, main_tabs, meeting_documents, news, news_item_links, quick_links, tab_dropdown_items, top_tabs

When this template was created, the remaining modules (those not listed above) were associated with dependent templates:

events, department, general_list, programs

IMPORTANT: Whenever linkmanager modules are added or changed or whenever any dependent templates are added or changed, this template should be re-created by re-running the Create/Edit webSpace Revize Dreamweaver command on the existing webspace.  Be sure the webspace_links checkbox is checked under the Advanced tab.
